VBMA Gets Packing for Its Big Move

The Vero Beach Museum of Art is getting ready to move into its new space on A1A, and if you have a soft spot for the building you know and love in Riverside Park, this winter is your last chance to see it as it is. In mid-February, the museum hands everything but its Collections Wing over to construction, and the galleries you've wandered for years won't look the same again.
Meet The Hub, the 6,000-square-foot building located at 1716 Highway A1A, the former location of Hazel House. It opens in March and will be the museum's home for the next two years. It holds the hands-on side of VBMA: art classes, workshops, a kids' art zone, summer art camp, the veterans' classes and the staff offices, all under one roof.
The move is being made possible in part by the museum's board, with an anonymous trustee covering half of the Hub's two-year lease, and two others are helping to outfit the space.
The rest of the calendar will move around town. The lecture series goes to Saint Edward's School, and Art in Bloom and the gala will find fitting venues. All of this makes way for the new museum, set in its own gardens and slated to open in 2028
In the meantime, check out the incredible lineup of November programming here.
