If you're planning on seeing a show at Riverside Theatre, The Emerson Center or other local venues, be careful where you click.
Ticket scalpers have gotten sophisticated. Their fake websites often appear first in Google searches, above the official organization's box office.
They copy actual seating charts and use official-looking branding to fool you into thinking you're buying legitimate tickets. You end up paying double or triple for terrible seats, if you get valid seats at all.
To ensure you're getting valid seats at the real price, purchase tickets only from the venue's official website. Avoid these reselling sites that pop up first in search results:

StubHub
Vivid Seats
Ticket Center
Base Local
When in doubt, call the box office directly.
The problem has gotten serious enough that Riverside sent a warning email to all subscribers last month. Other venues, such as The Emerson Center, report the same issue.
