If you've been meaning to get to VBMA to see American Made, this weekend is your final window, and with America's 250th just weeks away, the timing couldn't be better.

The exhibition, closing Sunday June 7, features more than 80 works spanning 250 years, from Hudson River landscapes to Sargent portraits to early modernist abstraction, and has traveled the country, stopping at the Met and the Smithsonian before landing in Vero. It's been one of the most significant shows to come through this community in recent memory.

As of Memorial Day, the museum officially shifted into summer mode with new hours, new classes, and a strong slate ahead. James Prosek brings more than 70 naturalist works to the Holmes Gallery starting July 11, followed by abstract painter Jill Nathanson's Chromatic Phrases on July 25. Summer classes run today through August 8.
