Thursday's rain was no match for the hundreds who showed up at Rock City Gardens in Sebastian for Indian River Land Trust's annual benefit. Despite the weather, good times were had by all as guests enjoyed an evening of camaraderie, live music, and cuisine in celebration of the Land Trust's ongoing work to enhance and preserve the Indian River Lagoon and the County's natural beauty.

Executive Director Ken Grudens shared updates on recent land acquisitions and highlighted the living classroom under construction at the 226-acre Coastal Oaks Preserve, which will connect the community through new educational and stewardship programs.
Grudens' remarks underscored IRLT's growing impact and the community's role in preserving local lands for future generations.

Be on the lookout for a feature story on Bee Gum Point Preserve, and check out previously covered must-see trails Oyster Bar Marsh and Toni Robinson Waterfront Park. Read them here and here respectively.

The lush backdrop of Rock City Gardens offered the perfect reminder of the landscapes the Trust works to protect. If you haven't been, its a destination in itself with a spectacular selection of plants for purchase.
