This Wednesday, Indian River Charter High School opens its production of Legally Blonde: The Musical, and everything you'll see on stage, from the sets to the costumes to the live music, will be put together entirely by students.
Under the direction of Artistic Director Michael Naffziger, their Visual and Performing Arts (VAPA) program is beginning to emerge as one of the most impressive public school arts programs in the region.
VAPA encompasses five disciplines: theatre, dance, vocal music, instrumental music, and visual arts, with students handling everything from lighting design to costume construction to film production.
Legally Blonde: The Musical runs February 25–28 at IRCHS, 6055 College Lane, Vero Beach. All shows begin at 7 p.m., doors open at 6:30. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students at irchs.ludus.com.
