Three Corners: Hold Your Horses!

Some of you have been watching this one since 2019.

You know every twist, every delay, every City Council meeting by heart. Others are just catching wind of it now and are, understandably, very curious what all the fuss is about.

Either way, here's where things stand.

If you've been tracking the slow march of the Three Corners project, waiting for this waterfront reboot can feel like watching paint dry.

Seven years after the community engagement and that resounding 80/20 vote in favor, the finish line is finally (hopefully) coming into view. The catch: City Council just approved another 30-day delay before finalizing the $250 million master developer agreement.

Another month of waiting isn't exactly thrilling but think of it as important due diligence. City Manager Monte Falls and Mayor John Cotugno are holding out for a deal that's actually right, not just fast. Better a delay now than a compromise the city lives with for decades. Listen to this story on NPR here.

Want to fuel your patience in the meantime? Take a look at the official master concept to see what's on the drawing board.  Stay tuned. It's getting close!
