Vero Beach Life, Curated

Menu

The Hottest Table in Vero is now in Riverside's Orchid Lobby

Fifty-four years and Jesus Christ Superstar still hasn't lost its nerve. Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's rock opera opens tomorrow night at Riverside Theatre — and if opening night isn't reason enough, Chef Sue Torres has prepared two special dining experiences around this production that are worth the trip on their own.

Torres and Sous Chef Joe Holohan have done this before. Their themed menus for Little Shop of Horrors, A Gentleman's Guide to Love and Murder, and Mauritius sold out and earned a devoted following. This time they're offering a brunch in addition to the dinner, each menu woven into the arc of the show itself.

Both are intimate by design, limited to just 30 guests and hosted by Executive Producer/CEO Jon R. Moses and, depending on rehearsal schedules, cameos by select cast members.

Brunch -- Sunday, March 15 at 12:00PM

Opens with mimosas and a reception bite called "From the Garden" — leek confit and hand-whipped chèvre flatbread with garden herbs, followed by smoked salmon toast points for Act I, an olive oil potato frittata at Act II, and a finale of figs and honey challah bread French toast with goat's milk caramel.

Dinner -- Wednesday, March 18 at 5:30PM

Leans into the full story. Reception features pistachio-stuffed organic dates with wild honey alongside chèvre flatbread, paired with a Jean Charles Boisset Crémant de Bourgogne. Act I brings a cucumber, herb and olive oil salad with a Provence rosé. Act II is braised lamb with figs and wine alongside a Wahluke Slope Syrah. The finale: challah bread pudding with figs, honey, and goat's milk caramel.

Be sure you are buying directly from Riverside, not from third-party ticket resellers that often inflate prices—sometimes charging two or three times face value. Always double-check the web address before you purchase; sponsored links at the top of a Google search often lead to unauthorized resale sites instead of Riverside’s official ticketing page.
