Mexico Comes to Vero: A Symphony Debut Worth the Wait

The Indian River Symphonic Association opens its season with flair this Thursday evening (January 15), welcoming the Minería Symphony Orchestra of Mexico for their Vero Beach debut. Under conductor Carlos Miguel Prieto, the ensemble brings trumpet virtuoso Pacho Flores for an exhilarating tour through Latin American music that promises to be anything but provincial.
The program charts a course from Haydn's Trumpet Concerto through Paquito d'Rivera's Venezuelan Concerto and Revueltas's rhythmic Sensemayá, concluding with Ginastera's irresistible Danzón No. 2.
The January 15 concert begins at 7:30 PM at Community Church of Vero Beach.
