McKee’s Twilight Shone Bright After the Storm Last Thursday

About 15 minutes before Twilight at McKee Botanical Garden began last Thursday, everyone’s phones buzzed with weather alarms warning of a fierce incoming storm. But for the brave who showed up anyway, the evening did not disappoint. The skies cleared just in time, leaving the garden perfectly lit as dusk settled in.



Along the Jungle Garden trail, Xavier Cortada’s “Flower Constellation”—the three symbolic pots embody themes of love, joy, and reverence. Cortada’s work invites visitors to see these flowers as stars in a constellation—reminders of the delicate interconnectedness of life and the vital role native plants play in sustaining Florida’s ecosystems.
