Burgers & Brews Is Bigger Than Ever, and Moving to the Fairgrounds

Burgers and Brews has outgrown Riverside Park. After ten years, United Against Poverty is moving its annual fundraiser to the Indian River County Fairgrounds on Saturday, June 27, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

To celebrate, UAP is giving away two combo packs passes for:

5 sliders

10 brewery tastings

A souvenir cup

(valued at $50)

Eleven competitors, mostly new ones, will battle for Best Burger in Indian River County while guests sample sliders and vote. Last year's winners, Cabana Bar at Costa d'Este and Heaton's of Vero Beach, return to defend their titles. The day also includes live music by East Harbor, a Classic Car Show, food trucks, a Kid Zone, and craft brewery tastings.

Matt Tanner of United Against Poverty says the growth caught even him off guard. "It's amazing to think how much our Burgers & Brews event has grown over the past eleven years, from downtown Vero to the Indian River County Fairgrounds. We're thrilled to offer this one-of-a-kind event for our community, while also raising program funds to address some of the most pressing challenges facing our neighbors in need."

Thirty percent of Indian River County residents used UAP's services last year. The money raised here goes directly to those programs.
