40th Anniversary at VBMA: An American Art Spectacle

The Vero Beach Museum of Art turns 40 and kicks off its winter season with a show-stopping exhibition: American Made: Paintings and Sculpture from the DeMell Jacobsen Collection.

Opening this Saturday, January 31, American Made features over 80 works spanning 250 years of American art—from Benjamin West to Mary Cassatt to Charles Alston. Perfect timing as the nation nears its 250th birthday!
Celebrate the museum's 40th on February 14 with a special anniversary edition of Second Saturdays, featuring free admission all day, a special lecture on the Museum in the Garden expansion plans with Executive Director Brady Roberts at 11 a.m., artist demonstrations, and a community flag project (bring a piece of red, white, or blue fabric!).
American Made runs through June 7, anchoring this spring season packed with cultural highlights:
