Where Dogs Run, Jump, and Rule the Day

After a year-long hiatus, Vero's most anticipated canine celebration is back. Mark your calendars for this Saturday, January 10, 2026, when the Humane Society of Vero Beach & Indian River County returns to Riverside Park for the 13th annual Bark in the Park—back after Hurricane Milton cleanup efforts forced last year's cancellation.

What started as a modest gathering has grown into "Treasure Coast's Largest Pet Festival," with attendance reaching over 12,000 in 2024.

The lineup showcases exactly why Bark in the Park has become a local favorite. The Disc-connected K-9 Frisbee dogs return with their aerial shows, while Ultimate Diving Dogs demonstrate dock-jumping skills that consistently amaze. The Indian River County Sheriff's Office K-9 unit shows off their working dog expertise, and the Puppy Pals Comedic Stunt Dog Show delivers family entertainment.

There are plenty of activities for your dogs as well, including a lure course, costume contest and even a doggy look-alike contest.

Admission is free, and money raised at the event goes a long way toward supporting the Humane Society's mission and Indian River County's only open-admission shelter, which in 2023 helped 2,289 animals find homes while maintaining a 95% save rate and running programs that keep families and pets together.
