Here's a first look at the Vero Beach Museum of Art's expansion plans, set to break ground on November 7. Click here for the virtual walkthrough of this exciting new design and see the photos below.
Dubbed the "museum in the garden," the two-story expansion will consist of walled
gardens, terraces, and courtyards, interweaving art and nature and blurring the line between the Museum and the park while doubling exhibition space.
The entire first floor, free and open to the public, will feature galleries, a café, an interactive kids' art zone, an auditorium, an education wing and purpose-built studios for painting, ceramics, and more. A rooftop terrace will provide lagoon views, and multiple entrances will welcome visitors throughout the space.
Allied Works and Unknown Studio designed this $85 million, 90,000-square-foot building. Construction begins fall 2025, with programming continuing in the existing space through 2027.
