Carter "Big Boy" Andrews isn't an award-winning fisherman and TV personality by choice – he's the victim of an all-consuming obsession that keeps him on the water 300 days a year, according to MyOutdoorTV, which streams "The Obsession of Carter Andrews."
For those precious 65 days when he's not chasing fish from Panama to Russia, Andrews walks among us in Vero Beach with wife Heidi, daughters Payton and Haley, and their 45 farm animals. (Apparently obsessions come in multiples!) This Tennessee farm boy turned three-time Jackson Hole One Fly winner didn't just master fishing – he revolutionized it. Mentored by legendary Jose Wejebe of "Spanish Fly" fame, Andrews builds lodges, trains guides worldwide, and now brings that community spirit home.
Vero Beach landed the ultimate catch: a global fishing ambassador who recharges here between missions to democratize angling knowledge worldwide.
