Vero Beach is home to some of the most significant baseball history in America. And every April 15, it comes alive.

Holman Stadium was built in 1948 as the heart of Dodgertown, Branch Rickey's answer to a segregated South that had no place for his integrated Brooklyn Dodgers. Jackie Robinson played in the first official spring training game on that field. The complex is a National Historic Landmark. And it's right here in our backyard.
On Wednesday, April 15, United Way of Indian River County hosts the Jackie Robinson Celebration Game at Holman Stadium, a tradition since 2014, on the one day a year every player in Major League Baseball wears No. 42. The Jupiter Hammerheads and the Palm Beach Frozen Iguanas face off under the lights, with an opening ceremony at 6 PM and first pitch at 6:42 PM. All proceeds support United Way programs serving Indian River County families.
Gates open at 5 PM. Tickets are $12 online or $15 at the gate. Tickets can be purchased here.
