Robert Farber’s “Timeless” exhibition at the Vero Beach Museum of Art is a must-see — and it’s your last call to catch it before it closes on August 31! Farber, an international fashion icon who has lived and worked all over the world — now calls Vero Beach home.
This remarkable show brings together two sides of his artistry:
Vintage Fashion — glamorous images from his decades photographing top supermodels, celebrities, and high-profile campaigns.
Deterioration — a striking collection born from an unexpected twist, when some of his older prints deteriorated over time, transforming into one-of-a-kind works of art.

At 81, with 14 photography books and a career spanning five decades, Farber is still creating, still telling stories through his lens. This is the first time these two series have ever been shown together in a museum — and it’s happening right here in Vero Beach.

Even better, you can meet the artist himself and hear his stories in person. On Thursday, August 29, from 3–4 p.m., Farber will lead a guided tour of the exhibition (free with museum admission).
Expect behind-the-scenes tales of globe-spanning shoots with stars like Gia Carangi, Jerry Hall, Ted Danson, Ally Sheedy, Omar Sharif, and Ava Gardner — and how sometimes, an unplanned change in weather could send an entire production halfway around the world.
Farber’s path to Vero Beach came during COVID, when friends urged him to visit before moving to France. The size and quality of our art museum — and the warmth of the community — won him over instantly. He bought a home online, moved here with his wife Judith, and has been part of the local arts scene ever since.
