Riverside Theatre for Kids celebrates 45 years of impact on Thursday, July 17 when five former local students -- including a Broadway star!!! -- return to perform their favorite musical numbers.

Since 1980, this program has transformed young lives through professional theater training, with an emphasis on teaching creativity, confidence, and collaboration that serves students throughout their lives, whether they choose the stage or other careers.
Alumni reunite for the theatre's first Alumni Showcase to perform favorite musical numbers and share how Riverside Theatre for Kids shaped their journeys next Thursday, July 17.
Among them: Jamari Darling, who went from performing at Riverside at age nine to starring in Tony Award-winning Broadway productions like "Ain't Too Proud" and "Hadestown."
Shannon Maloney now protects vulnerable children through nonprofit work, Emily Rose Olsson returned as Assistant Director of Education at Riverside Theatre, and Bryce Roux studies sports management—all crediting theater training with building confidence to succeed.
"It was in these halls where I found a loving community and the magic of creativity," says Maloney.
The showcase kicks off Vegas Nights, a fundraiser for the Youth Tuition Assistance Program. The evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with dinner and casino games, followed by performances at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are $25. For more information, or to purchase tickets, click here.
