Behind the Curtain at Riverside Theatre

Want to see how professional theatre really works? As summer winds down and Riverside Theatre prepares for a new season, their Adult Backstage Access Classes blend hands-on participation, expert lectures, and lively discussions to give you an insider's view of how world-class productions come to life.

You'll actively engage with theatre professionals while exploring both the creative artistry and business strategy that drive live performance. This year, the program's expanded offerings include classes on the children's theatre show Alice in Wonderland Jr. and Ballet Vero Beach's production of The Nutcracker, which will be performed at Riverside this year.

Each focused series runs 2-3 weeks around a specific show, with most classes meeting Thursdays from 10am-12pm (some adjusted for technical rehearsals). Plus, everyone who participates receives a complimentary invitation to the December 18th dress rehearsal for Riverside's youth troupe before they compete at Atlanta's prestigious Junior Theatre Festival.
