The Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center arrives at Trinity Episcopal Church next Wednesday, January 21 at 7:30 PM with an all-Beethoven program that's been making its way from California to Texas to Sarasota before landing here.
Cellist David Finckel leads the evening alongside violinist Kristin Lee, pianist Juho Pohjonen, and violinist/violist Arnaud Sussmann.

The program centers on Beethoven's Trio in D major, Op. 9, No. 2; his Sonata in E-flat major, Op. 12, No. 3; and the "Archduke" Trio, Op. 97. The "Archduke" was written during a brutal stretch—Beethoven's hearing failing, his life unraveling. "We know that his life wasn't that easy," Pohjonen says, "and maybe that's why it speaks to people so well."

Touring the same program night after night has become its own revelation. "Every time we learn something new about the music, and every time we can bring something new to the audience."
CMS returns to Vero Beach again on February 19 and March 25.
Tickets can be purchased here or by calling 212-875-5788.
