9 to 5 Clocks In At Riverside

Few films from 1980 have aged quite like 9 to 5, the workplace comedy that became a genuine cultural phenomenon, spawned one of Dolly Parton's most recognizable songs, and still makes people laugh out loud more than four decades later. I watched the movie for the first time over the weekend in anticipation of Riverside's upcoming production, and Parton's infectious anthem has been stuck in my head ever since. Now I'm really curious to see how it plays out on the Riverside stage 9 to 5 The Musical runs from April 16 - May 10.

The 2009 Broadway adaptation was just as much a hit as the 1980 original, earning four Tony nominations and 15 Drama Desk nominations, the most of any production that year. Among the lead actors was Stephanie J. Block, who recently headlined the Riverside Friends Committee's Annual Gala.

To mark the occasion, Riverside is hosting two exclusive fine dining experiences on Wednesday, April 29 and Tuesday, May 5 with show-inspired menus crafted by Executive Chef Sue Torres and a chance to revel in backstage stories with Executive Producer and CEO Jon R.
